Nothing Changes until Something Changes, SO TRUE

Please take a look at this link….forward as necessary.

Ready for a Change

The 26th amendment (granting the right to vote for 18 year-olds) took only 3 months & 8 days to be ratified!  Why?  Simple!  The people demanded it.  That was in 1971...before computers, before e-mail, before cell phones, etc.

Of the 27 amendments to the Constitution, seven (7) took 1 year or less to become the law of the land...all because of public pressure.

If we all pass this along, in three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message.  This is one idea that really should be passed around.

  Congressional Reform Act of 2011

  1. Term Limits.

  12 years only, one of the possible options below..

    A. Two Six-year Senate terms
  B. Six Two-year House terms
  C. One Six-year Senate term and three Two-Year House terms

  2.  No Tenure / No Pension.

  A Congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.

  3.  Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security.

  All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately.  All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people.

  4. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.

  5. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise.  Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

  6. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.

  7. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.

  8. All contracts with past and present Congressmen are void effective 1/1/12.

  The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen. Congressmen made all these contracts for themselves.

  Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career.  The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and back to work.

  If each person contacts a minimum of twenty people then it will only take three days for most people (in the U.S. ) to receive the message.  Maybe it is time.

  THIS IS HOW YOU FIX CONGRESS!!!!!
If you agree with the above, pass it on.   If not, just delete

  You are one of my 20+.
Please keep it going.

A business without sales = A very expensive hobby

Priority one is customers. Priority two is creating a business model that allows you to profitably deliver customer desired products / services.
Not to diminish the role of bankers, accountants, insurance agents, lawyers, other professional service providers, or even a comprehensive business plan. At some point, they will all play a role in your endeavor!

Just, emphasizing the critical importance of the customer and the need to generate cash through sales.

Without sales you just have a very expensive hobby.

To my readers - I apologize

Feedback is a good thing!  Tells me that people care enough to help me succeed.

Thanks for the gentle nudges on my spelling and grammar.  I will endeavor to do better!

Frankly I’m glad to know that people are choosing read my little rants.  For the record, I have a long and distinguished career of being a poor speller and grammarian.  I can show you some of my spelling tests and book reports.  More red on the paper than black.

I commit to all of you, I will try my level best to make things easier on all of you.  In the mean time, please work with me to find the intent of my comments.

Deep inside I am still the little boy who got A’s in science and D’s in spelling.  It took me a long time to find the courage to put my thoughts into writing and then out in public.  Now that I’ve done it, I like the feeling.  Please go easy on me as I try to learn skills that I have avoided for nearly half a century!

As for those who read and read well.  I am sorry to put out such obvious mistakes.  I know when you see them it is like getting poked in the eye.  Thanks again for sharing your comments.  I know that you are helping me to GROW!

If you are on a fixed income, buy LOCAL

So here we are the can has been kick almost as far as it can go.

Let's take a look, we have 30 - 50 year old individuals standing toe to toe trying to determine what rights, freedoms, liberites we will have to take away from one another in order to get through this mess. Well as sorry as it sounds, Let me first say GOOD this is PROGRESS. It is much better than the old process of talk talk and then cave-in with some absurd decision that is suppossed to make everyone happy. like we sas in Quarter 1, 2011, spending increses coupled with tax cuts in Quarter 1, 2011.

So now the real rant, take a very close look at our situation.

Population explosion post world war 2. Creates tremodous demand for everything, shoes, schools, roads, cars, industry. With demand sales can be made. With sales people can be employed, With employment we can make sales to staisfy still more demand. And the cycle goes on and on. As long as we keep making babies and we fill our demand with products and services that generates employment for those babies.

Although simple, we broke every one of those rules.

We Are Awesom !!!

Two incredible machines!

No matter what our kids and the new generation think about us,

 WE ARE AWESOME !!!
OUR Lives are LIVING PROOF !!!

To Those of  Us  Born
1925 - 1970 :

At the end of this email is a quote of the month by Jay Leno. If you don't read anything else, please
read what he said.

Very well stated, Mr. Leno.
~~~~~~~~~
TO ALL THE KIDS WHO SURVIVED THE
1930s, '40s, '50s, '60s and '70s!!
First, we survived being born to mothers who may have smoked and/or drank
while they were pregnant.
They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can, and didn't get tested for diabetes.
Then, after that trauma, we were
put to sleep on our tummies
in baby cribs covered
with bright coloured lead-based paints.
We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, locks on doors or cabinets,
and, when we rode our bikes,
we had baseball caps,
not helmets, on our heads.
As infants and children, we would ride in cars with no car seats, no booster seats, no seat belts, no air bags, bald tires and sometimes no brakes..
Riding in the back of a pick- up truck on a warm day was always a special treat.
We drank water from the garden hose and not from a bottle.
We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle, and no one actually died from this.
We ate cupcakes, white bread, real butter, and bacon. We drank Kool-Aid made with real white sugar. And we weren't overweight.
WHY?
Because we were always outside playing...that's why!
We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on.
No one was able to reach us all day.
--And, we were OKAY.
We would spend hours building
our go-carts out of scraps
and then ride them down the hill,
only to find out we forgot the brakes.. After running into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem..
We did not have Play Stations, Nintendos and X-boxes. There were
no video games, no 150 channels on cable,
no video movies or DVDs,
no surround-sound or CDs,
no cell phones,
no personal computers,
no Internet and no chat rooms.
WE HAD FRIENDS
and we went outside and found  them!
We fell out of trees, got cut,
broke bones and teeth,
and there were no lawsuits
from those accidents.
We would get spankings with wooden spoons, switches, ping-pong paddles, or just a bare hand, and no one would call child services to report abuse.
  We ate worms, and mud pies
made from dirt, and
the worms did not live in us forever.
We were given BB guns for our 10th birthdays, made up games with sticks and tennis balls, and
-although we were told it would happen- we did not put out very many eyes.
We rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just walked in and talked to them.
 Little League had tryouts
and not everyone made the team.
Those who didn't had to learn
to deal with disappointment.
Imagine that!!
 The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of. They actually sided with the law!
These generations have produced some of the best risk-takers,
problem solvers, and inventors ever.
The past 50 to 85 years have seen an explosion of innovation and new ideas..
We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned how to deal with it all.
If YOU are one of those born
between 1925-1970, CONGRATULATIONS!
You might want to share this with others who have had the luck to grow up as kids before the lawyers and the government regulated so much of our lives  for our own good.
 While you are at it, forward it to your kids, so they will know how brave and lucky their parents were.
Kind of makes you want to run through the house with scissors, doesn't it ?
~~~~~~~
The quote of the month
by
Jay Leno:

 "With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and with the threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks, are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?"

For those that prefer to think that God is not watching over us...go ahead and delete this.
For the rest of us.....pass this on.

The Two Great Lies told to Entrepreneurs

There are two great lies told to entrepreneurs.  These lies are not intended to be hurtful or limiting but they are.  These lies are not intended to produce fear or doubt but they do.  These lies are based upon common understanding, tribal knowledge.  They are NOT based in fact or reality.

They are "The World is Flat" statements of the current age.  Widely accepted but just not true!

Lie #1 "It takes money to make money"  - I will explain why I feel this is not true in a later posting

Lie #2 "Build it and they will come"         - I will explain why I feel this is not true in a later posting

For now, let's say this.

If you believe these statements are true then the Innovation President Obama calls for and we so greatly need cannot happen!

If you believe these lies then you are destine to work for someone who does not believe these to be true.  If too many of us believe these statements then we as a people will serve someone else.  When we limit our options or chase poorly guided pursuits we give away or freedom one decision at a time.

I'm not ready to give up on freedom.  I refuse to believe the lies!

Congressional reform act of 2011

Interesting ideas, see more benefit than risk.

Sometimes necessary to re-set.

Ctrl – Alt – Del

We do this when we have corrupt files maybe it helps with representatives too.  Just a thought!

I'm asking you to forward this email to a minimum of twenty people on your address list; in turn ask each of those to do likewise.

In three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message.  This is one idea that really should be passed around.

MUCH OF WHAT WE FACE IN TERMS OF PRIVILEGE AND SELFISHNESS IN THIS COUNTRY MIGHT BEST BE CHANGED STARTING FROM THE TOP DOWN. If you agree with the above, pass it on.   If not, just delete

You are one of my 20. I INVITE YOU TO KEEP IT GOING. WHATEVER YOU CHOOSE -- THANKS!
